Go-Jek Singapore Is Now Hiring: Interested Drivers Can Register To Join 'GoCar'

Singapore drivers looking to be part of Go-Jek’s fleet would be glad to know that the Indonesian ride-hailing firm is now taking pre-registrations.

“Over the coming weeks, interested drivers who provide their contact details will receive notifications from GOJEK with details and next steps on how to apply to join GOJEK’s Singapore platform when the company launches,” said the company in its statement.

Drivers who sign up will also have the opportunity to be among its “first driver-partners” in Singapore.

Interested drivers can sign up at, and Go-Jek shared that the portal is “the only official online channel for pre-registration”.

According to a report, Go-Jek also reported that there has been a “huge amount of driver interest” in Singapore.

Go-Jek has plans to launch in Singapore in November 2018, and earlier this month, partnered with 6 local car rental companies to boost its fleet.

In addition, Go-Jek stated that it was “now confident that Singapore will have a robust, efficient and competitive market, and that [their] arrival will have a significantly positive impact on the lives of people in Singapore,” in response to the news of rivals Uber and Grab getting fined $13 million by the Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore (CCCS) after an investigation into the Grab-Uber merger earlier this year.

CCCS’ ruling for non-exclusivity also means that Go-Jek will be free to recruit Grab’s current drivers, and private hire drivers can choose to drive on more than one app.

It is still uncertain what incentives or pay schemes Go-Jek will provide drivers in Singapore.

Rival Grab recently made the headlines for the introduction of a tiered rewards programme called Emerald Circles, which guarantees gross monthly incomes of $6,888 to $11,888 before deducting expenses such as fuel, rental fees and 20% commission fee.
