RazerPay Is Coming To S'pore Soon – Here's How You Can Apply For Beta Access

When Malaysia were the first to get RazerPay in June last year, some Singaporeans were really bitter about it.

Considering that Razer is a homegrown company, people naturally think that Singapore would get first dibs on it.

But Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan has continually assured that Singapore will get to experience the e-payment solution soon, promising a launch by April 2019.

Tan had also mentioned that he is investing S$10 million in RazerPay, and is looking to form a team of the “best payment engineers and experts in Singapore” to lead this initiative.

On its website, some of the available roles to support this e-payment initiative include business unit lead, engineering lead, engineers, merchant acquirer lead, payment services leads, and regulatory/legal lead.

Accepted At More Than 4,000 Merchants In S’pore

Today, Razer announced an upcoming beta launch of RazerPay for Razer fans and gamers in Singapore, who can apply for access here.

Successful applicants will be sent a unique access code for the RazerPay app via text message in the next few days.

“We’re thrilled to offer all Razer fans and gamers in Singapore the opportunity to sign up for the closed beta launch of RazerPay and play a part in helping us ready the app for its full public launch,” said Tan.

“Early adopters who join us now will be among the first ever to shop and pay with RazerPay as we progressively roll out.”

During the beta phase, participants will get to experience the full functionality of RazerPay and enjoy frequent gaming-focused promotions and events such as giveaways of Razer Gold, Razer PIN, and other digital content.

Beta users’ feedback will help optimise operations for a smooth public launch in the coming weeks.

Razer’s partnership with FOMO Pay will also enable RazerPay acceptance at more than 4,000 merchants in Singapore, such as Buzz convenience stores and Dunkin Donuts outlets.
